Níðhöggr is the Type Maiden with Fusion Guardian Embryo of Cata Lugang Euanjelion.

Appearance[]

In her Maiden form, Níðhöggr wears a hat that covers her eyes and sleeves long enough to cover her mouth when she eats. In her Guardian form, she is over 100m in size, however, she rarely transforms into this state due to a certain policy of Cata's.

Personality[]

Níðhöggr is usually taciturn, and dislikes people who hinders Cata.

Abilities[]

As a Fusion Guardian, Níðhöggr can fuse her body with Cata's, and neither will die in this state as long as they are not both eliminated and allows her to control Cata's body in the event that he was incapable of doing so. However, she can only somewhat control Cata's body as long as Cata's own brain is intact. She is also unable to use any of her skills unless she is fused with Cata. She can also transform parts of her body into her Guardian form.

Skills[]

  • Unnamed skill: An active skill that can create additional mouths on Cata's body, such as his palms, arms, shoulder, feet and torso. By creating a mouth on the palm and distending its chin to the limit, it is possible to extend the mouth to almost the length of Cata's arm. This skill has a limit to how much area it can cover, however, the limiting factor, whether volume, quantity of mouths, or something else, is unknown.
  • Expanding Life (膨張する命): A passive skill that allows Níðhöggr to store the resources of everything she has eaten which she can use to substitute the costs of Cata's skills. As a side effect, Níðhöggr's Guardian body increases proportional to the amount of resources she has currently stored. However, even if its size increases, its status does not increases to match it which results in too big of a body being unable to move whenever she accumulates too much resources as it cannot support its own weight.
  • Craving (渇望の牙クレイヴィング): A passive skill that reduces a creature's resistance by 50% at the moment they are bitten and subtracts the maximum value of the END and hardness of an object that has been eaten before from what is currently being eaten. In order to activate this skill, a certain amount of a substance must be chewed and swallowed, which changes depending on the object. Currently, the amount that can be subtracted is equal to the END of compressed Mythical metal, or 120,000 END.
  • Law of the Jungle (弱肉強食ロウ・オブ・ザ・ジャングル): The final skill that Níðhöggr acquired after evolving into a Superior Embryo. It allows Cata to acquire one skill of a UBM by eating their corresponding special reward that he has ownership over. After eating it, a black tattoo corresponding to the eaten special reward appears on the skin of Cata (and Níðhöggr guardian body) while they are fused whose colour changes from black to gray and finally into white whenever the corresponding skill is used. A minimum interval of 24 hours is needed in order to re-use said corresponding skill and Cata can still use the skill while it is still recovering as long as the corresponding tattoo has not completely turned white. However, skills that require special costs to be paid and skills that require specific body parts cannot be used properly. Cata also has a limit on the number of skills he can stock and once it is full, he is incapable of gaining a new one without deleting some skills in his stock. The amount of the capacity consumed by the stocked skill increases proportional to how high the rank of the special reward consumed to gain said skill. The higher the rank of the special reward eaten, the longer Cata can use the skill, though the higher its rank is too, the longer the time it takes to re-use said skill once the tattoo of said skill turns white. Special rewards devoured with this skill are lost forever.
    • Dragon King Aura (竜王気): An active skill possessed by all Dragon Kings. It creates a field of energy that can reduce the power of attacks and by using it to reinforce their own attacks, increase their power immensely. Because the aura can resist attacks of all attributes, the specific resistance level for each attribute is not high. By using the stored resources inside Níðhöggr, Cata can produce an extremely thick layer of Dragon King Aura rivalling Canglong Ren Yue.
    • Last Supper (最後の晩餐): A skill that causes the flesh and blood that has been separated from the body to become a hungry dragon. Additionally, Hungry Dragons born from Cata's body is also capable of using Níðhöggr's skill, Craving as they are judged to be a part of Cata's body.
  • Níðhöggr — Food From Underworld's Hearth ((黄泉竈食ニーズヘッグ): Níðhöggr's ultimate skill. An active skill that causes all creatures killed by Cata while the skill is active to leave behind a corpse that contains all of their resources. This causes all monsters killed by Cata to not drop even a single drop item and instead leave behind a corpse that he can eat to absorb their resources much more efficiently.

Trivia[]

  • Níðhöggr is stated to require the most food expenses among Type:Maiden Embryos as she eats Mythical metals as snacks.
  • Níðhöggr had an opportunity to evolve into a Superior Embryo over a year ago but prevented herself from evolving. This caused her to be unable to properly use her skill, Expanding Life as doing so would force her to let go of her restraint and then evolve into a Superior Embryo.
  • Whenever Níðhöggr fuses with Cata in a state where majority of Cata's body has transformed into a white beast, Cata's race changes from a human into a chimera.
